During the weekend of 29 and 30 September we welcomed 450 students from the medical training in Brest to our campsite for their integration weekend. It was a very pleasant weekend with a lot of fun under a lovely sun. The theme was Olympic games but I haven’t seen these games before! The integration was very successful under the guidance of a committee of 22 students and with the skilful security and red cross of Secutourism.
In July and August there are students and supervisors of the National Office de Forets at the campsite. They sleep and eat here during the day and at night they follow a special kind of bats, the Murin de Beckstein, who live and forage in the Fôret de Coat Loc’h. Wednesday evening 29 August there will be an excursion led by the leader of the group. We start at 20:30 from the campsite and then also see and hear bats.
There is circus around the campsite for 3 weeks. The children’s camps of Quimperlé Communauté practice a week before a performance on Friday. And on Saturday there was a performance by the circus artists of CirKoPathes theirselves. A hundred spectators came to the circus tent. It was a super fun performance that ended with a meal at Camping Kerisole.
We have special guests at the campsite again. Supervisors and trainees from the Office National des Forêts stay at the campsite and follow a special bat species at night, the Murin de Beckstein. And they occur in the forêt de Coatloac’h. During the day these guests sleep and, like the bats, become active around sunset.
The Tour de France is coming! Not as planned along the campsite, but at about 5 km from the campsite. Reservations are not necessary, we still have enough free places at the campsite!
Today there is a nice article written by Francis Salaun in Le Telegramme. This of course because we have received our third star for the campsite.
In order to better organize the website, show more photos and make the content clearer, we have renewed the website. The new site also works well on tablets and telephones.
The Tour de France arrives on July 11th by Scaër during the 5th stage Lorient-Quimper. At 200 meters (!) From the campsite the riders come along to take the exit to Chateauneuf du Faou. What a great opportunity to experience this! Write down in the agenda: Wednesday, July 11 Scaër …
In the weekend of 15-17 September we received 150 students at the campsite for their integration weekend. A weekend of games and especially a lot of fun.
